Miriam Manubens

Born in Sant Julià de Lòria, she began studying piano at the age of six.

She obtained a higher piano degree from the Barcelona Municipal Conservatory under the Chair of the pianist Miquel Farré.

She received a postgraduate scholarship from the Fundació Crèdit Andorrà which allowed him to study at Trinity College of London with pianist Kaoru Bingham where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma and a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma.

She received masterclasses from Paul Badura-Skoda, Cécile Ousset, Elena Riu.

At the age of 17 he performed as a soloist in the Ordino Auditorium with the Orquestra de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya. He was part of the Art3 Trio with which he performed in Madrid, Toulouse, Strasbourg and Ljublyana. She often lavished himself in chamber ensembles with different Andorran performers. She performs a permanent saxophone and piano duet with saxophonist Efrem Roca.

She has given concerts as a soloist in Madrid and Menorca.

She has also given concerts with the Andorran baritone Marc Canturri in the Foyer of the Liceu in Barcelona. She has participated several times in the Narciso Yepes Festival and in what was the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition.

She has been the musical director of “Company” under the artistic direction of Joan Anton Rechi and of “Germans de sang” under the artistic direction of the Catalan actor Roger Pera.

She has been an accompanying pianist in the Andorra Sax Fest International Competition, she has been an accompanying pianist in the Rocafort Choir, the Valls d’Andorra Chamber Choir, and the Orfeó Andorrà.

Since 2003 she has been working at the Institut de Música del Comú in Andorra la Vella as a piano teacher and accompanying pianist; she was head of studies from 2011 to 2016, she is currently the head of the piano department.

She is receiving masterclasses from Laia Masramon.
